Founded in 2012, Walker's Learning Academy was established to provide quality child care and early education in a small, underserved community. From the beginning, the academy has been committed to ensuring that financial hardship never stands between a child and a safe, nurturing place to learn.

For several years, Walker's partnered with Arkansas Early Learning, Inc. (AEL) to provide Early Head Start services, aligning our program with Head Start Performance Standards and Arkansas Child Care Licensing rules. That partnership ended due to federal funding changes outside our control — but the standard of care it set is one we've continued to uphold every day since.
In March 2023, an EF-3/EF-4 tornado tore through Wynne, hitting hardest in the low-income neighborhoods our families call home. Walker's stayed open as a steady, familiar environment for children processing trauma, and a dependable support system for parents rebuilding their lives. The storm didn't change our mission — it reinforced why it matters.
