A deeper partnership with your family.
Walker's participates in Family Partners for Ready Learners (FPRL), a program that strengthens relationships between our academy and the families we serve, backed by a dedicated Family Engagement Specialist.
Through FPRL, families can take part in family cafés, a weekly text-based support program, universal developmental screening, and our Parent Partnership program — all designed to reduce barriers and build confidence for both staff and parents.

What ages does Walker's serve?
We serve infants and toddlers from 6 weeks to 3 years old, across eight classrooms grouped by age.
What is your teacher-to-child ratio?
We maintain a 1-teacher-to-5-child ratio throughout the academy, with substitute staff available to keep that ratio steady every day.
Do you accept child care assistance?
Yes. Walker's offers regular tuition classrooms for families who pay privately, as well as spots for families who qualify for child care assistance. Ask us about your options when you schedule a tour.
Is formula and diapers really provided?
Yes. Walker's provides free formula, diapers, and other essential infant-care items, so that financial hardship never prevents a child from receiving the care they deserve.
Do you serve children with disabilities?
Yes. We serve children with disabilities in full accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and Arkansas Child Care Licensing rules, with individualized records to make sure each child's needs are met.
What if my child needs extra developmental support?
We conduct developmental screenings and milestone assessments for every enrolled child, and provide onsite speech and occupational therapy when a child needs early intervention.
How can I get involved as a parent?
Through Family Fun Days, parent participation events, father-engagement initiatives, home visits, and our Family Engagement Committee — part of the Family Partners for Ready Learners program described above.
What are your hours and meal schedule?
We serve two nutritious meals and one snack daily. For current hours of operation, please call or visit our Contact page — our team is happy to walk you through a typical day.
